At Keith Dudgeon Cricket Specialist we can construct jobs as large as a brand-new facility or as small as re-laying new grass on a tired centre wicket. We specialise in Soft Netting & Chain wire facilities.
We construct soft practice net facilities from Australian made netting products that best suit your needs. With a post and rail style system, our facilities ensure that the roof netting will not interfere with play. Retractable curtain nets to stop the drive shots are also erected at the bowler’s end to act as a backstop when using a bowling machine or for general practice. These structures can also be enclosed in chainwire with lockable gates for enhanced security.
SimTurf Cricket Grass
Keith Dudgeon Cricket Specialist EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT. Unique combination of two Australian yarns combined into one product, made in Australia.
SimTurf is a unique cricket synthetic turf that plays more like a natural turf wicket. Standard synthetic turf is quite quick and skiddy whereas SimTurf plays slightly slower and allows a bit more ball grip on impact creating a fraction more spin and movement.
When you play matches on natural turf wickets then you need to train on a similar surface, SimTurf fills this void.
SimTurf is a combination of two different fibres/filaments using Australian yarn and produced in an Australian factory. Our yarns have inbuilt proprietary features not found in other yarns and include up to 24 unique components to produce a stable and long-lasting formulation.
SimTurf is made for Australasian conditions; it is durable, UV stabilised and rigorously tested to withstand the harshest climates.
International 1000/2000 cricket grass
Australian Made, Tapex Yarn, green cricket grass. This is a specifically produced directional, ultra-high wear synthetic cricket grass.
Our cricket specific synthetic turf is produced in an ISO-certified manufacturing plant located in Melbourne. Produced by APT Asia Pacific and is the only synthetic turf manufacturer to make yarn in Australia.
At the Allunga Exposure Laboratory in Townsville, where the tropical heat is high and the UV content of natural light is extreme, we monitor fading and tensile strength loss. We also run simultaneous accelerated testing on APT yarns and yarns sourced from other manufacturers around the world.
