Classroom teacher Michele Pikunic, from St Aloysius Catholic College in Kingston, recently co-hosted the Tasmanian STEM Network, a community of practice based in Tasmania. This teacher-led, Questacon facilitated community of practice network meeting looked at interweaving STEM and First Nations knowledges with Nearipah Dreaming consultant and Aboriginal Education Worker Amanda Pearn.
“The Tasmanian STEM Network was formed to provide a platform to share and celebrate effective STEM practices — the big wins, the small experiments, and everything in between — and build ongoing support and collaboration that strengthens STEM learning in every Tasmanian classroom,” she said.
