Aflex Inflatables: What’s new at Aflex
There’s plenty happening at Aflex! From supporting an important cause close to home, to welcoming a new member to our leadership team and launching a brand-new addition to our pool inflatable range, here’s a look at what’s been happening behind the scenes.
A Giant Daffodil for a Cause That Matters
Giving back to our community has always been important to us at Aflex, and one cause we are proud to support year after year is the Cancer Society of New Zealand’s Daffodil Day.
Daffodil Day is the Cancer Society’s major annual fundraising and awareness event, helping to support people affected by cancer, fund vital cancer research, and provide important health and prevention programmes throughout New Zealand.
Over the years, Aflex has supported this special day by donating a giant inflatable daffodil, which has become a familiar sight on the historic Church Steps in Nelson, New Zealand. Standing proudly in the heart of our local community, the larger-than-life daffodil helps bring visibility to the day and the important cause behind it.
This year, Daffodil Day was held on 28 August 2026, once again bringing communities together to raise funds and show their support for New Zealanders affected by cancer.
For the Aflex team, being involved is about much more than putting one of our inflatables on display. It is an opportunity to give back to the community we are part of and use what we do to support a cause that affects so many families.
We are incredibly proud to continue supporting the Cancer Society and Daffodil Day and to see our giant daffodil standing tall in Nelson for such a meaningful purpose.
Meet Andrew Mullins – Our New Operations Manager
We’re pleased to welcome Andrew Mullins to the Aflex team as our new Operations Manager.
Andrew will oversee the complete operations of Aflex, working across the business to help ensure everything from production and planning through to delivery continues to run smoothly.
As Aflex continues to grow and develop new products for customers around the world, Andrew will play an important role in keeping our day-to-day operations moving efficiently while maintaining the quality and service our customers have come to expect from us.
We’re delighted to have Andrew on board and look forward to this next chapter for the Aflex team.
New product: Meet the Aqua Buddy
There’s a new way to enjoy the pool!
Introducing the Aqua Buddy, one of the latest additions to our Pool Toys range, a simple yet versatile inflatable designed for kids and adults to play, relax and enjoy time on the water.
What makes the Aqua Buddy different is its dual-sided design. Use it one way for a full inflatable deck above the water, perfect for sitting, relaxing or playing. Flip it over and the deck sits in the water, creating an entirely different pool experience.
One inflatable. Two ways to use it. Plenty of ways to have fun.
Whether it’s used for recreational pool sessions, holiday programmes or simply as somewhere to chill between activities, the Aqua Buddy adds something different to the pool without making things complicated. This is only one of the newest additions to our expanding range, with more new products on the way.
Stay Tuned…
There’s always something being designed, built or tested at Aflex, and we have plenty more to share over the coming months.
Bringing fun to life – the Aflex way.
