BSA: Engineering Solutions for Education Facilities

Preferred Supplier Article: Written by an Education Australia Preferred Supplier about their own products and services. It is not written or endorsed by Education Australia.

As the end of the year approaches, the upcoming holiday period can provide a valuable window to address maintenance requirements, investigate defects and plan infrastructure works before facilities return for the new year.

With fewer people using buildings and outdoor areas, it can be a practical time to undertake inspections and assessments, progress remedial works or get engineering advice on planned upgrades and modifications.

BSA can provide structural and civil engineering support across a broad range of requirements for education facilities. This includes structural inspections and condition assessments, structural adequacy assessments and engineering advice, as well as design for building modifications, extensions, canopies, awnings, plant platforms and other infrastructure.

We can also investigate structural defects, deterioration and damage, including concrete cracking and spalling, and develop practical remediation and strengthening solutions. Issues such as water ingress and building leaks can also be assessed to help identify appropriate repair requirements.

For external infrastructure, BSA can provide civil and structural engineering solutions for reinforced concrete footpaths, slabs, ramps, hardstand areas and outdoor facilities, as well as retaining walls, earthworks, stormwater drainage, surface water management and pedestrian access infrastructure.

From initial investigation and assessment through to engineering design, construction support and certification, BSA can support a range of structural, civil and remediation requirements.
